Our story

Our story began in the heart of Cornwall in 1976, when the Clarke family began farming at Greymare in the Glynn Valley. Our founders, Bill and Rachel Clarke took over the farm in 1985, continuing the family’s commitment to dairy farming. In 1994, the Clarke family began bottling milk after their children were in bed and delivering it at dawn. This business grew into Trewithen Dairy, a name synonymous with quality, care and local Cornish products.

In 2024, Trewithen Dairy joined forces with Ehrmann, a 3rd generation family owned dairy company, becoming ‘Ehrmann Cornish Dairy’. This development brought investment, innovation and opportunity, while keeping Cornish roots firmly at the centre. We remain committed to supporting local farmers, and crafting dairy that celebrates the unique taste of Cornwall.

As we look to the future, we want our name to reflect what makes us truly special: our Cornish heritage and joy we bring through food. That’s why Trewithen Dairy evolved into Cornish Dairy Co. This name is proudly about who we are, tells our story, and is a promise to keep delivering the same exceptional quality to your table.
